Once upon a time, 3D was little more than a gimmick. Then Avatar changed everything. Avatar demonstrated that 3D was a viable art form, in creative as well as financial terms. In the last few months, there have been approximately a dozen new 3D releases (including, for example, Alice in Wonderland, Shrek Forever After and How to Train Your Dragon) with plenty more still to be released in 2010. Television has also joined the 3D world. Most televison manufacturers (including Philips, Samsung, Panasonic, LG, Toshiba and others) already have at least one 3D model available or soon to be available. In April, Comcast broadcast the Masters in 3D. Verizon FiOS has announced that it will broadcast Yankee games in 3D. And now the latest 3D news...
Playboy has announced plans for a 3D centerfold. Of course, you'll need a special pair of 3DD glasses.

Don't these 3D morons know that half the world wears glasses?
How many people are they cutting out because we can't put their stupid 3D glasses on over our own?@fly46 - Perhaps someone will invent 3D contact lenses (one green and one red) we can wear under our glasses.
